Leipzig is more popular than ever and growing every year. With its innovative and vibrant art and cultural scene, the city is on everyone's lips. This popularity also has a positive impact on the congress business.
In addition, event planners benefit from the expertise of the city’s service providers and their excellent networking with the university and research institutes, as well as with senior representatives of industry clusters. Leipzig's economic and scientific expertise is centred on the areas of medicine and health care, biotechnology, the automotive industry and logistics, as well as energy and environmental research.
The Congress Center Leipzig (CCL) is the largest host for congresses. In addition to its venue at the exhibition grounds, the CCL also operates the KONGRESSHALLE at Zoo Leipzig. The combination of a modern convention centre and a zoo with a high scientific profile is unique worldwide. The venue features 15 halls and rooms for 10 to 1,200 people.
One of Leipzig’s strongest features is the great working relationship between the main players and the service providers of its congress industry. Led by the initiative "Feel the spirit ... do-it-at-leipzig.de" almost 50 local suppliers work together headed by Leipzig Tourism and Convention Bureau and Leipzig Fair.
This strong network lends its support to event planners by providing advice and backing in planning, organization and implementation. Interested organizers can conduct a personalised search enquiry very easily and receive up-to the-minute information at www.do-it-at-leipzig.com. Numerous search functions serve as a filter for congress and conference centres, venues, hotels, agencies, PCO's, and transport partners. Relevant suppliers can be bookmarked and any enquiries then sent directly from the website to all or only a selection.

Leipzig is beautiful, young and simply amazing. From the moment you arrive, you sense the all-pervasive enthusiasm, professionalism and cosmopolitanism. Its reputation for open-mindedness has proved irresistible to business people, scientists and artists alike over the centuries. Anyone who comes here is infected by that incomparable Leipzig feeling of renewal and freedom. Also typical of Leipzig is its variety: music and art, coffee house culture, restaurants and shopping in historical arcades.

With the opening of the KONGRESSHALLE am Zoo Leipzig, Congress Center Leipzig took over the operation of a modern conference centre in the heart of the city. The venue features 15 halls and rooms for 10 to 1,200 people. The juxtaposition of different styles – from Art nouveau, Art deco and historicist to contemporary architecture – gives the building a very particular ambiance. A worldwide unique feature is the combination of a modern meeting venue next to a zoo with a high scientific profile.
