About us
HMTG is Hannover’s central service provider for regional, location and city marketing, as well as tourism services.
Its core remit is the supra-regional and international marketing of the Hannover region (the capital of Lower Saxony plus 20 other towns and municipalities in the surrounding area).
Its key areas of focus are wide-ranging and include supra-regional initiatives aimed at strengthening and further developing Hanover as an ideal region and a hub for innovation. HMTG’s aim is to strengthen people’s sense of identification with the entire Hanover economic and living area, as well as to enhance its national and international standing.
This is achieved through a variety of measures such as advertising campaigns, press and public relations work, online presence (including www.visit-hannover.com, www.visit-hannover.com/urlaubsregion), collaboration with international marketing partnerships such as the ‘9 Cities in Lower Saxony’ or the ‘German National Tourist Board (DZT)’, participation in trade fairs and workshops, and the organisation of FAM trips and press tours.
In addition, the HMTG acts as a tourism marketing organisation and, through its City Break Team (including the sale of experience packages and city tours), accommodation booking service and Tourist Information centre, offers a full range of services relating to stays in Hanover. The HMTG supports business tourism, amongst other things, through centralised marketing for conferences, congresses and events of all kinds in the Hanover region.
